Meryl Streep dazzles in Indian jewellery designer’s eye-catching pendant earring at Cannes 2024 – Pics inside

The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival aka Cannes 2024 is currently underway at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès (Palace of Festivals and Conferences) in Cannes, France. While we eagerly wait to see what Day 3 has in store for fans across the globe, the films screened on Day 1 and 2 let fans impressed, The star-studded affair – which saw actors like Maryl Streep, Anya Taylor-Joy, Naomi Campbell and Chris Hemsworth walk the red carpet, also delivered some iconic fashion moments.

Meryl Streep wears Indian designer’s earring to Cannes

On Day 1 of Cannes 2024, Meryl Streep was bestowed the honorary Palme d’Or – the highest prize awarded at the festival. The actress looked elegant and oozed charm dressed in a timeless white satin Dior wrap dress as she received the award. While she shone bright with the award in hand – and received a thunderous two-minute standing ovation, it’s her earrings that have caught our attention.

‘The Devil Wears Prada’ actress teamed her classic ensemble with pendant earrings by Indian jewellery designer Hanut Singh. We have to say those carats on the statement pieces are complimenting the actress perfectly.

Designer Hanut Singh took to Instagram and shared his happiness after the actress wore his creation to the Cannes Film Festival. Sharing pictures of Meryl Streep wearing his earrings, Hanut wrote, “It happened with the one and only superstar Meryl Streep, winning her Lifetime Achievement Award @festivaldecannes wearing my pendant earrings! So absolutely thrilled and a pinch me moment. @leightonjewels @micaela I am forever indebted (sic).”
